Use of Cookies and Tracking Tools
This website uses the software of the web analysis provider Matomo to evaluate user access to the Borussia Dortmund Annual Report. With every page view your IP address is forwarded to a server with the Matomo web analysis software. The server is operated by the IT service provider nexxar GmbH, Vienna, on behalf of Borussia Dortmund. On the server with the web analysis software your IP address is anonymized immediately after transmission. For this purpose your IP address is shortened by the last 16 bits or 2 octets when using the Internet Protocol Version 4 (IPv4) or by 80 bits or 10 octets when using the Internet Protocol Version 6 (IPv6). A personal identification of the anonymized IP address is therefore impossible. The web analysis software then processes the anonymized IP address for statistical evaluation of the access. The anonymization of your IP address for the purpose of statistical evaluation of the accesses is based on the legal basis of our legitimate interest (Article 6, paragraph 1, letter f GDPR).
The legitimate interest of Borussia Dortmund consists in evaluating the media use of the website users in order to optimize and further develop the content such as texts, photos and videos and the navigation in accordance with the requirements of the website users.
Users can object to this anonymous data collection by Matomo at any time by clicking the link below. Through this, data from future visits will not be collected. In this case, a so-called opt-out cookie is stored in your browser, which means that Matomo no longer collects any session data. If users delete their cookies, however, this means that the opt-out cookie is also deleted and must therefore be reactivated by the users.
